Someone told me to be proud of who I am and what I do. Although my words are black and white on a screen, they have worth and relate to more people than I realize. My writing can empathize with many, and I need to accept that I have a voice. That voice can represent my thoughts and beliefs and those of hundreds, even thousands of others. Sometimes I try hard to write what I believe people want to read, but it sounds so fake and overthought. I realize that if I write, my words will reach at least one person who can take away from it a bit of wisdom to help them through the day or even the rest of their lives.

Today I write of the cold hard facts. A battle between reality and the right decision. It’s always best to make the right decision, even if it casts your reality into a massive tailspin and sets your world on fire. This honesty and accountability can cause inner turmoil. Adding to this is yet another quality that one must have before all, Integrity. I have integrity and have chosen to commit to what I know as the truth. Honesty is the act of fulfilling that commitment, and accountability is admitting when I have failed my integrity and making amends to right the wrong.
